Takeover not possible: SFO interconnect, NVRAM and disk inventory error in new setup

Issue

  • A new system setup cannot perform takeover and the following errors are seen:
cluster::> storage failover show

  • The HA interconnect links appear up, but the IC RDMA connection is down, leading to the issue:

  • If the system is halted, upon boot it might also get stuck at "waiting for reservations to clear" due to HA interconnect issues.
