Issue

  • System is unable to boot.
  • Following message is observed during the boot process:

[node-01:sas.adapter.firmware.fault:notice]: Detected firmware fault 0xffffffff on SAS adapter 0a.

  • SYSCONFIG-A shows that the firmware of the adapter is up to date:
slot 0: SAS Host Adapter 0a (PMC-Sierra PM8070 rev. C, SAS, )
Firmware rev: 03.08.09.00
