Issue
- An error similar to the following can be seen from ONTAP when scenarios such as the following occur:
- After removing cluster switches to convert to a switchless cluster
- Replacing, upgrading, or changing the IP configuration on the cluster switches

Probable Cause: Ethernet switch "cluster1-sw01" with IP address "192.168.1.5" is not reachable via SNMP.Incorrect SNMP community string might be configured on the Ethernet switch. Possible Effect: Ethernet switch communication problems and accessibility issues.
Corrective Actions: Check the SNMP community string on Ethernet switch to verify that the expected community string is configured. Use the "system switch ethernet show -snmp-config" command to view the expected community string
- Furthermore, SNMP packets can be seen continued to be sent to the no longer existing switch IP address
