Initialization of network interface e0a failed due to unexpected software error

Issue

  • The ONTAP upgrade task is suspended due to an issue with HA interconnect ports being down.
  • During the boot process, ONTAP returns the following errors
Cluster::*> takeover -ofnode FAS8300-1 -option allow-version-mismatch
(storage failover takeover)
 
Cluster::*> Files /cfcard/x86_64/freebsd/image2/VERSION and /var/VERSION differ
Waiting for PIDS: /usr/sbin/rpcbind 1011.
