How to use AutoSupport information for prerequisite data collection in FRU replacements when ONTAP systems will not boot
Applies to
- AutoSupport
- ONTAP 9
Description
- When performing an onsite FRU replacement, an engineer is instructed via NetApp documentation to gather prerequisite information from the system prior to proceeding with the part replacement.
- If the system (typically a motherboard) will not boot at all, that makes gathering that information onsite impossible.
- This article provides an alternative of using AutoSupport sections to show the same detail of the commands that would have been run onsite.

Note: Ensure you are using the most current weekly or user-triggered "ALL" AutoSupport. Confirm with the customer that no changes had been made after that AutoSupport was generated. |
