How to finish giveback when cluster ports are failed on one node of a two node cluster

  • ONTAP 9
  • Two node cluster
  • One node's cluster ports are failed
  • Any available SFP+ UTA2 port configured in Ethernet/CNA mode (not FC) can be used as a cluster port on the following platforms:

    AFF A300, FAS8200 (e0e, e0f, e0g, e0h)
    AFF A220 UTA2, AFF A200, AFF C190 UTA2 (e0c, e0d, e0e, e0f)
    FAS2750 UTA2, FAS2720 UTA2, FAS2650, FAS2620 (e0c, e0d, e0e, e0f)

  • The following platforms do not have additional SFP+ ports to connect to a partner SFP+ cluster port:

    AFF A220 10GBASE-T, AFF C190 10GBASE-T
    FAS2750 10GBASE-T, FAS2720 10GBASE-T
