  • To effectively troubleshoot network issues client side packet traces may often be required. 
  • For more complete visibility, capturing simultaneous traces from both client and server (controller) is required.
  • This KB provides details for capturing a packet trace using tcpdump
    • For Red Hat Linux variants, the tcpdump package should be pre-installed
    • For other UNIX distributions, need to check with the respective vendor
