False alert about IOM6 and IOM12 stack mixing when adding IOM12B

Config Advisor versions prior to 2.24, Firmware 602 and Openrule 601

Issue

  • Config Advisor shows the following error for cable checks after adding IOM12B modules to existing IOM12 stack:

"IOM6 and IOM12 disk shelves are not supported in the same stack 1"
"IOM6 and IOM12 disk shelves are not supported in the same stack 2"

  • There are no IOM6 modules in the stack and cabling is verified to be correct as per best pratices for MPHA
