EMS raises errors on multiple chassis sensors on AFF A700s systems

Issue

  • On AFF A700s systems, ONTAP reads incorrect sensor values for onboard sensors, which can lead to ONTAP reporting errors on multiple sensors.
  • EMS log raises:

EMERGENCY monitor.globalStatus.critical: Chassis temperature is too low.

Chassis temperature is too cool: NVMe1 Temp is critical low (-91 C).

ALERT monitor.chassisTemperature.cool: Chassis temperature is too cool: RiserL LTemp1 is critical low (-48 C).

Chassis temperature is too warm: CPU0 Temp is critical high (39 C).

Chassis power supply 1 is degraded: PSU1 InVoltage is Critical Low (72000 mV)

Chassis power is degraded: Sensor detecting voltage anomalies.

Chassis temperature is too cool: Dimm B1 Temp is warning low (16 C)
