Answer

  • The method for initializing disks from the boot menu is performed by selecting "Clean configuration and initialize all disks."
    This operation clears the system configuration and initializes all disks.
  • The diskinitialization method performed from the boot menu does not comply with theU.S. Department of Defense standards (DoD 5200.28-M).
  • Complete data erasure is possible using the "disk sanitize" command that complies with DoD 5220.22-M.
