  • All shelf I/O modules (IOM6/IOM12/NSM100)

Answer

  • Shelf I/O module (IOM) firmware upgrades, and ACP1 firmware upgrades (where applicable), are nondisruptive.
  • Individual IOM and ACP firmware is updated on eligible shelves automatically using a low-priority background firmware update process.

 

NOTE1: ACP (Alternate Control Path) is a legacy feature and is no longer used on current-generation systems.
