Cisco Switch ISSU Upgrade Precheck Cannot Proceed due to Non-Edge forward port
Applies to
- NetApp ONTAP clusters (all platform)
- Cisco Nexus cluster interconnect switches (e.g., 9336C-FX2)
- Cisco NX-OS upgrades using ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade)
- Cluster environments using Cisco vPC and Spanning TreeProtocol (STP)
Issue
- During the Cisco switch upgrade precheck for ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade), the following error is reported:
ISSU Cannot Proceed! on cluster switch
ISSU cannot proceed when a non-edge port is in Designated Forwarding state.
No Active Topology change Found!Criteria 1 PASSED !!
No Ports with BA Enabled Found!Criteria 2 PASSED!!
