Cannot apply new configuration to Nvidia cluster switch due to link state value

Issue

  • When trying to change the management IP address on the switches, the following error is seen on applying the configuration:

cumulus@switch2:mgmt:~$ nv set interface eth0 ip address 10.10.10.10/24
cumulus@switch2:mgmt:~$ nv config save
saving
saved [rev_id: applied]
cumulus@switch2:mgmt:~$ nv config apply
verifying
Invalid config [rev_id: 9]
Config invalid at interface.swp2s1.link.state: One value must be set
