Will the source volume rename change the destination volume name?

Answer

  • No, changing the source volume name will not change the destination volume name after the update/resync.
  • If you wish to change the destination name, then that needs to be done manually on the destination cluster.
  • Similarly, for cloud-based SnapMirror, the destination S3 bucket will not be renamed upon source volume name change.
