Will the setting difference of space guarantee between source and destination affect 7toC Transition?

Answer

No, the volume space guarantee has nothing to do with the TDP initialization or updates.

NOTE:

  1. TDP destination volume option setting (including guarantee setting) does not change after transfer.
  2. The default guarantee setting in ONTAP 9.7 is none.
    (i.e. if the customer does not specifically have a guarantee option with the value volume, it will create the destination volume with the guarantee none).
    In this case, guarantee none should be expected behavior.
