Why is my SnapMirror relationship showing as 'unhealthy'

Answer

  • As long as a Snapmirror 'initialize' is running the relationship will show 'unhealthy', it will be in a 'healthy' state as soon as this initial transfer is completed successfully
  • The snapmirror relationships will also report an 'unhealthy' status when the LAG counter exceeds the scheduled update time interval
    • example: if your updates are scheduled for every 30 minutes but updates are taking longer to complete for some reason and the LAG time is greater than 30 minutes, the mirror will report as 'unhealthy' in this situation as well
