Why are the sizes of the Volumes or Snapshots of a fan-out relationship different?

Some occasional discrepancies in snapshot size can occur when comparing "same" snapshots stored in different Storage locations (Snapmirror fan-out) since each volume has its separate Storage efficiency which is run after the successful transfer of the data.
