  • Snapmirror convert DP-type to XDP

Answer

  • Converting a SnapMirror relationship from DP to XDP requires deleting the existing SnapMirror relationship and recreating it as XDP type.
  • It does not mean the existing snapshots are converted to XDP type.
  • Snapshots do not have an XDP type attribute.
  • After conversion, a resynchronization (resync) process is required.
  • SnapMirror uses the XDP policy to transfer snapshots created after the relationship is re-established.
