Answer

During SnapMirror operations such as resync, quiesce, and break, the following statuses can be observed:

  • SnapMirror Resync Command:
    • Queued: The transfer operation has been accepted and queued in the system.
    • Preparing: Pre-transfer phase for incremental transfers.
    • Transferring: A transfer operation is in progress.
    • Finalizing: Post-transfer phase for incremental transfers.
    • Idle: No transfer operation is in progress and future transfers are not disabled.
  • SnapMirror Quiesce Command:
    • Quiescing: A transfer operation is in progress and future transfers are disabled.
    • Quiesced: No transfer operation is in progress and future transfers are disabled.
  • SnapMirror Break Command:
    • Breaking: The SnapMirror relationship is being broken off and no transfer is in progress.
    • Idle: No transfer operation is in progress and future transfers are not disabled.
    • Queued :
      • The Queued status is typically not observed for quiesce and break commands as they are usually executed immediately.
      • However, if other operations are running concurrently or the system is under high load, these commands might enter the Queued state.
