Storage efficiency not applied on Snapmirror destination after initialization from FAS8300 to AFF-C60
Applies to
- FAS8300
- AFF-C60
- ONTAP 9
- SnapMirror
- XDP
- Storage Efficiency
Issue
- An issue occurred where storage efficiency was not applied after transferring data from a FAS8300 system—where deduplication had been disabled—to an AFF C60 system using SnapMirror
- The main concern was that, after SnapMirror initialization, the destination volume on the AFF C60 did not have deduplication enabled and therefore were not reclaiming storage space as expected
