Issue

  • Repeated SnapMirror schedule overrun errors are reported in EMS logs on the passive site :

ERROR smc.snapmir.schd.trans.overrun: Scheduled transfer from source volume 'NETAPP-data' to destination volume 'NETAPP-DR-mc:data' is taking longer than the schedule window. Relationship UUID 'dafdd410-96e6-11ed-a62e-d039ea3301db'.

  • These errors appeared for multiple volumes, typically after a MetroCluster switchover/switchback or site reboot event.
  • SnapMirror relationships were healthy and operating normally on the active site.
