Issue

  • SnapMirror resync operation is attempted, but fails after some time.
  • The SnapMirror relationship is unhealthy due to last transfer failure.
  • EMS has error

Sun XXX 25 XX:XX:XX -0600 [node-01: worker_thread_331: sm.disable.se.fail:error]: Failed to disable the "storage efficiency" feature for volume svm1:volume1 during a SnapMirror resync. Reason: Operation is not configured.

  • SnapMirror relationship states the last transfer failed

Failed to disable storage efficiency on destination "<svm_name>:<vol_name>". (Efficiency not enabled on destination "<svm_name>:<vol_name>".)

  • Storage efficiency is disabled on the destination and enabled on the source
  • Enabling storage efficiency on the destination does not help
