SnapMirror fanout issues between relationship with sync and async or vault policies

Issue

  • Updates for a SnapMirror relationship with ASync or Vault policy might fail if the same source volume is protected with Sync policy in a fan-out configuration.
  • Snapmirror audit log shows the error:

Group=none Operation-Cookie=0 action=End source=src_vserver:src_volume destination=dst_vserver:dst_volume status=Failure message=Failed to start transfer for Snapshot copy "snapshot_1".(SnapMirror detected an invalid incremental Snapshot copy "snapshot_1" for the current transfer. To recover, manually delete the Snapshot copy "snapshot_1" using 'snapshot delete' command.)
