SnapMirror S3 bucket delete fails : Waiting to reclaim the freed up space

Issue

  • Deleting the destination bucket of an S3 SnapMirror fails with the following error :

cluster::> vserver object-store-server bucket delete -vserver vs0 -bucket bucket1
[Job 106160] Waiting to reclaim the freed up space.
Error: command failed: [Job 106160] Job failed: Timeout while waiting to reclaim the freed up space. Wait a few minutes and try the operation again. Object store bucket policy statements are deleted during the failure of bucket deletion job for bucket "bucket1" on Vserver "vs0"., Object store audit event selector was deleted during the failure of bucket deletion job for bucket "bucket1" on Vserver "vs0".

  • MGWD.log records the following message :
