SVM DR fails to create volume due to destination platform limits

Issue

  • SVM DR relationship fails to initialize, as volume is not to being created.
  • These messages may be found in snapmirror show -instance output: 

Last Transfer Error: Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: [Job [job_id] ] Job failed:Failed to create the volume on node "[node_name]". Reason: Request to create volume failed because the given volume size is greater than the maximum size. Select a size of at most [size] TB for the new volume.

-OR-

Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Apply failed for Object: volume Method:baseline. Reason: [Job [job_id] ] Job failed: Failed to create the volume on node "[node_name]". Reason: Request to create volume failed because the given volume size is greater than the maximum size. Select a size of at most [size] TB for the new volume.

Execute "snapmirror show -destination-path <SVM:> -fields last-transfer-error,unhealthy-reason -expand" to check if the constituent volumes have encountered errors.
