SVMDR reverse resync or resync fail with error No space left on device

Issue

  • SVMDR failover testing fails during resync with errors stating "No space left on device"
  • Error string in Snapmirror Audit logs includes:

status=Failure message=Failed to start transfer for Snapshot copy "vserverdr.2.c656c098-a77a-11e9-b9f7-00a098fd4512.2025-05-24_235020".(Failed to start transfer.(Filesystem error(No space left on device)))

  • EMS logs report errors as follows:
Sun May 25 02:49:01 +0700 [Prod_clus-Node02: wafl_exempt13: wafl.vol.full:alert]: Insufficient space on volume 
dest_vol_01@vserver:c656c098-a77a-11e9-b9f7-00a098fd4512 to perform operation. 16.0KB was requested but only 1.00KB was available.


Sun May 25 02:49:01 +0700 [Prod_clus-Node02: wafl_exempt13: wafl.br.redir.nospace:notice]: The redirect scanner cannot complete 
its scan on 'dest_vol_01@vserver:c656c098-a77a-11e9-b9f7-00a098fd4512' because there is not enough disk space. Remove Snapshot 
copies.
