SVMDR does not replicate root volume data in ONTAP

Issue

  • Data stores in the root volume of the source Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) is not replicated to the destination system using SVMDR
  • SVMDR relationship establishes successfully and status is normal, but no data appears in the destination SVM root volume
  • Data replication using Volume SnapMirror to the same destination works as expected
