SVM-DR update fails with Internal network error after upgrading to ONTAP 9.7

Issue

  • After upgrade to ONTAP 9.7 SVM DR relationships' updates fails with:

last-transfer-error:
Failed to transfer data. Internal network error. Check cluster health and cluster peering status. Execute "snapmirror show -destination-vserver SVM_DR -fields last-transfer-error,unhealthy-reason -expand" to check if the constituent volumes have encountered errors. Transfer failed

  • Output of the suggested command shows:

SVM:Vol1 SVM_DR:Vol1 Transfer failed. (Replication operation request failed from Cluster Id: <UUID>, Node Id: <UUID> to Cluster Id: <UUID>, Node Id: <UUID> due to a network error (CSM: An operation did not complete within the specified timeout window.)) Transfer failed.
