SnapMirror active sync (formerly SM-BC) keeps old snapmirrorCG snapshots and does not create new ones

Issue

  • When checking the source or destination volume, we see old Snapshots with the name snapmirrorCG.ID.<old date>

  • SnapMirror is reported healthy but the volumes use much more space due to the old snapshot
