Issue

  • During a simulated network switch failure test, the NetApp AFF‑A250 storage system configured with Snapmirror Active Sync
  • The active sync replication transitioned to an Out‑of‑Sync state as a result, all virtual machines became inaccessible, and vCenter lost visibility of the datastores hosted on the NetApp cluster
  • The issue was triggered when one of the switch out of 2 switches on the network was powered-off.
