Issue

  • ONTAP NAS SVM root volume Load Sharing (LS) mirror configured on the same node as the SVM root volume.

Example:

NAS SVM root volume Load Sharing (LS) mirror configured on the same node as the SVM root volume.
Load Sharing (LS) mirrors configured on SVM svm1,svm2,svm3, ... and 3 others are located on the same node as the root volume.

  • If you create an LSM on the same node, and the node is unavailable, you have a single point of failure, and you do not have a second copy to ensure the data remains accessible to clients.
