Load Sharing (LS) mirror configured on the same node as the SVM root volume
Applies to
ONTAP 9
Issue
- ONTAP NAS SVM root volume Load Sharing (LS) mirror configured on the same node as the SVM root volume.
Example:
NAS SVM root volume Load Sharing (LS) mirror configured on the same node as the SVM root volume.
Load Sharing (LS) mirrors configured on SVM svm1,svm2,svm3, ... and 3 others are located on the same node as the root volume.
- If you create an LSM on the same node, and the node is unavailable, you have a single point of failure, and you do not have a second copy to ensure the data remains accessible to clients.
