Issue

  • After upgrading to ONTAP 9.15.1, SVMDR updates fail with:

Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Unable to set volume attribute "is-large-size-enabled" for volume "Volume_name" on Vserver "Vserver_name". Reason: Disabling large volume size is not supported because the system is either configured as an All SAN Array or supports large LUNs.Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Apply failed for Object: root_volume_view Method: baseline. Reason: Unable to set volume attribute "is-large-size-enabled" for volume "Volume_name" on Vserver "Vserver_name". • Use the volume show command on the SVM DR source and destination clusters to verify the is-large-size-enabled setting:

Destination_cluster::*> volume show -vserver Dest_SVM -fields is-large-size-enabled
vserver      volume            is-large-size-enabled
------------ ----------------- ---------------------
Dest_SVM      vol01             true
Dest_SVM      vol02             true
Dest_SVM      Vol03             true
Dest_SVM      Vol04             true

Source_cluster::*> volume show -vserver Src_SVM -fields is-large-size-enabled
vserver      volume            is-large-size-enabled
------------ ----------------- ---------------------
Src_SVM      vol01             false
Src_SVM      vol02             false
Src_SVM      Vol03             false
