Issue

  • Incorrect use of snapmirror resync can  overwrite data, and result in unintended data loss
  • In various scenarios, including one-way data migration, it is important to run the snapmirror resync command on the intended side of a SnapMirror relationship
  • If there are no other backups of the data available (snapshots on a fanout SnapMirror destination, Cloud backups,) the unintended data loss can also potentially be irreversible data loss
