  • SnapMirror cascade is able to reconfigure relationships of one of the cascade participants becomes unavailable, without requiring a new baseline transfer
  • This capability is implemented by ensuring that there is a common snapshot across all the volumes in a cascade relationship
  • This may require the transmission of extra snapshots above and beyond those relationships specified by the policy attached to each hop of a cascade
