Issue

  • The source and destination communicate over a WAN network
  • cluster peer create command fails
Example:
source::> cluster peer create -address-family ipv4 -applications snapmirror -peer-addrs xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Error: command failed: Using peer-address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: An introductory RPC to the peer address "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" failed: RPC:
Unable to receive [from mgwd on node "destination_node" (VSID: -1) to xcintro at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]. Verify that the peer address is correct, and then try the operation again.
  • ICMP ping works without any problems
  • Telnet intercluster_LIF 11105/11105 works without any problems
