Issue

  • SVM-scoped NDMP backup by Arcserve fails if one node's FC path gets blocked.

NOTE: The 2 nodes HA pair has a multipath to backup server; that is, each node has one FC path to backup server which is supposed to provide redundancy and protect backup issues from single path failure.

  • activity_log.txt of Arcserve indicates the backup job request fails to be sent out.
  • backup log under \mroot\etc\log indicates node never received any requests from DMA.
