NDMP backup only works for a specific node after a LIF change

Issue

  • After changing the NDMP backup communication from node1's intercluster LIF (10.10.10.234) to node2’s intercluster LIF (192.168.1.6) for connection.  NetBackup (NBU) can only back up volumes on node2.
  • Backups of node1 volumes fail with errors such as:

ERROR: NDMPConnect: Unable to Connect to [192.168.1.5]:3498 due to Connection timed out
ERROR: DATA cb_data_connect_failed(2):33
INFO: DATA: sending listen/connect failed ABORT
ERROR: NDMPConnect: Unable to Connect to [192.168.1.5]:2596 due to Connection timed out
Error bpbrm(pid=3101507) socket read failed: errno=62 - Timer expired
Error ndmpagent(pid=3101517) ndmp_data_connect_v3 failed, status=-1(-1)
Error ndmpagent(pid=3101517) NDMP backup failed, path=/volume/qtree
EXITING with status 99
