Applies to

  • ndmpcopy

Issue

  • After a failed attempt to perform a directory restore with SnapMirror restore, ndmpcopy is configured to restore the directory.
  • Ndmpcopy connection and authentication work, and the DUMP and RESTORE operations of the ndmpcopy are started.
  • In the console, it can be observed that the RESTORE operation immediately fails with:
RESTORE: Error: Either SFR or GranSync initialize/resync is in progress.
  • The DUMP operations are unaffected, and progress through Phase I, II, III, IV, and V is observed in the console, ending with DUMP IS DONE.
  • Immediately after the successful dump operation, the ndmpcopy fails with:
RESTORE: RESTORE IS ABORTED
  • In the backup log on the ndmpcopy destination node, the restore operation is found to have failed with:
Error (Either SFR or GranSync initialize/resync is in progress.)
