VAAI: FlexVol clone operation fails when offloading from volume to volume

Issue

  • When cloning across two FlexVol backed datastores using VAAI, the clone progresses to around 93% completion, then fails with the following error:

Could not complete network copy for file

  • Clones within the two individual FlexVol backed datastore offload successfully
  • If the data LIF associated with the destination datastore is moved to the partner node, the clone completes successfully
