Unable to upgrade VMware ESXI from 7 x to 8 x due to Missing GUNZIP Checksum VIBS

Issue

While upgrading ESXi from version 7 to 8, VMware reports the following message:

MISSING_GUNZIP_CHECKSUM_VIBS: Found=['NetApp_bootbank_NetAppnasPlugin_1.1.2-3'] Expected=[] These VIB(s) do not have the required sha-256 gunzip checksum for their payloads. This will prevent VIB security verification and secure boot from functioning properly. Please remove these VIBs and check with your vendor for a replacement of these VIBs."
