Yes, it is possible.
However, there are several considerations and steps to follow:
  • SnapMirror Relationship:
The destination volume created by SnapMirror is a DP (Data Protection) type and is read-only.
To use it as a writable datastore, you need to break the SnapMirror relationship.
  • Volume IDs and Disk IDs:
SnapMirror transfers an exact copy of the data, including virtual machine names and disk IDs.
This can lead to conflicts if both the source and destination datastores are mounted simultaneously.
