Unable to access System Manager after migrating cluster management LIF due to expired TLS certificates

  • ONTAP System Manager 9.11.1
  • The server certificate for the cluster has expired

Issue

  • After migrating the cluster management LIF to the partner node, accessing System Manager fails with the browser's error:
    • ERR_SSL_KEY_USAGE_INCOMPATIBLE
      or
    • ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID
  • Accessing the node management LIF of the source node of the migration can open System Manager, but accessing the node management LIF of the destination node cannot open System Manager.
