ONTAP System Manager not accessible from a specific client or VDI system but CLI works

Issue

  • System Manager GUI is not available from a specific client/VDI system
  • External Web services/certificates are valid in ONTAP
  • Using InCognito/InPrivate browser also shows the same result ruling the browser cache/cookies out of the equation
  • Message on browser:

Hmmm... can't reach this page 

host.name.local took too long to respond

  • SSH to cluster-mgmt CLI works from the same VDI/client system
  • Testing connectivity via telnet shows connected via port 22 (SSH) but failed via port 443/80 (HTTPS/HTTP)
