  • SVMs only configured with CIFS.

Issue

System Manager fails to create new volume in SVM with only CIFS enabled with error:
Either CIFS or NFS permissions are required.

Note:
According to Add a volumeBeginning with ONTAP 9.11.1, the new volume will not be shareable by default.
