Answer

  • It is not possible to create a volume outside of the LUN create workflow.
  • Exactly one volume is created for all LUNs created in the workflow.
  • Use CLI to create the volume and then move LUNs to it.
  • It is much easier to allow creation of volumes that can be used as block containers.
