Issue

Customer was unable to create a new SVM (Storage Virtual Machine) in ONTAP System Manager. Attempts to configure DNS and LDAP during the SVM creation wizard resulted in an error, preventing successful SVM creation.
 
Reported error (as described):
 
“Error during creation of SVM.”
  • The error occurred specifically when attempting to configure DNS and LDAP settings as part of the SVM creation process.
  • No detailed error code was provided, but the SVM creation would not complete until DNS/LDAP steps were skipped.
