Issue

  • CommVault application is failing to connect to NetApp cluster showing Error[Authentication failure.]
  • CommVault requires user credentials to perform storage operations
  • The ONTAP credentials used by CommVault were recently changed in OnCommand System Manager
  • Even though the new credentials were updated in CommVault, the application still fails to connect
