Can percentage of used data be shown for a LUN?

Answer

  • The percentage of data used for a LUN is not shown, as ONTAP only knows about what has been written to the LUN.
  • If data is deleted from the LUN and the if LUN is not trimmed / zeroed, the used percentage within ONTAP will not change.
  • This was removed as it was misleading to the users.

Workaround:

Use the Operating System to determine the amount of used and available data within the file system.
