Answer

No, we cannot manually disable/suspend the ZAPI. Post ONTAP versions 9.14 and beyond, ONTAPI (ZAPI) will stay active for 30 days. If no ONTAPI calls are detected during this timeframe, ONTAPI will be automatically disabled.
