Volumes created with thick provisioning cannot be shrunk.

Additional Information

  • With thick provisioning, physical storage space is allocated at the time of volume creation.
  • To reduce this space, data relocation and physical storage reallocation are required.
  • However, due to many constraints to maintain data integrity, it is not recommended.
